Carbon Sequestration Workshop for Montana Legislators

On March 20, 2009 the Big Sky Carbon Sequestration Partnership hosted a workshop for Montana lawmakers and the public in Helena, MT. The workshop was held in the Capitol building over the legislator’s lunch hour break. Director Lee Spangler made a brief presentation and partnership staff were available to discuss issues related to geology, monitoring and modeling, policy and regulation, and the Legislative forumCarbon Atlas and data resources. Approximately 40 people attended the workshop.
Attendees received a packet of information that included handouts on various components of carbon sequestration.
